Question: How do i make a nutella pie?

Answer #1:

that sounds absolutely delicious. Let me know how it comes out.

Answer #2:

I wouldn't use the butter, it would just make the mixture greasy and, assuming since there are no eggs in the filling, you're not going to bake the filled pie, most icebox custard pies (which this would essentially be) don't have butter in the filing.

If you're going to bake off your crust first, you don't need to use powdered sugar, regular sugar works just fine, but of course, if that's what you have and you want to use it, go right ahead.

Good luck!

Answer #3:

I agree with the previous answer of no butter in the middle... I would also leave out the chocolate cake crumbs- they will give your creamy middle a wierd texture.
I would leave the crust unbaked and use reg white sugar in lui of powder and beat togther (w a mixer) your cream cheese and nutella with a few egg yolks and a touch of sugar (depending on how much nutella you add) and a beat until it is creamy, then, and in a seperate bowl, beat the egg whites until they are stiff and fold them into your chocolate mixture until they are all mixed in but not beaten - and then pour onto unbaked crust and BAKE at 350 until not shiny and no longer appears raw ( i do this in a springform pan and it takes about 30 minutes but if you are just using a reg pie plate- use only 1 egg (yolk in w cheese- white beaten seperate) and less time in the oven....cool and top with whipcream and drizzled chocolate. Yummy.
